NYE Collective @ The Salutation featuring OOTG, Disco Mundial, Reet Rum Do & Arthouse 2011
Join us for a NYE to remember this year. As we join forces with Arthouse, Disco Mundial & Reet Rum Do for shindig of epic proportions at the Salutation (home to some of our most outrageous parties). Tickets are a very respectable £5.50 (with booking fee) and are available from us and also through Ticketline online.
The Salutation, or the Sally to her friends, is a Mancunian institution. Oft frequented by the likes of Scruff and that rabble from Elbow, a feature location in hip music vids and regular hot spot for secret shindigs and quirky parties, the likes of which have never been seen before. Saved from an uncertain future and maybe the odd bulldozer by the lovely folks behind Trof, the Salutation is now better than ever. Good beer, great atmosphere, brilliant people, top staff and a wicked outdoor area, right next to all the dancefloor action.
For your city centre local – it doesn’t get any better than this…

♫ Out Of The Gloom
In 1996 Manchester promoter Sally Squiggles felt there was something missing on a Sunday night. With fellow DJ Chris E, Out of the Gloom was formed as a regular weekly Sunday hang-out for the stalwarts of the Manchester club scene, a haven for those in need of a brighter way to finish the weekend. Out of the Gloom’s eclectic music policy, guest appearances from some of Manchester’s finest DJ talent, collaborations with other nights and their own splattering of Sunday silliness quickly led to a faithful following and the reputation of the night led to the residents been asked to play at many events, while the list of DJs wanting to play at Out of the Gloom grew and grew. In 2009 Out of the Gloom switched from Sunday afternoons to Friday nights. Sticking to the across-the-board music policy, the night welcomed some awesome guest DJs including Ashley Beedle, Atjazz and Sean P. The regular following never dwindled and though Out of the Gloom events in the last year have become more irregular, the faithful ‘Gloomers’ have remained dedicated in their support. Chris E and Sally Squiggles continue to entertain, both played at the Manchester International Festival in July of this year, Chris can be found playing at parties across Manchester and Sally now hosts a regular soul music show on Chorley FM. On the night, they will stick to the Out of the Gloom No-Music-Policy-Music-Policy and will make this party a brighter way to finish the year.
