Out of the Gloom

The thrill of chase…..

….for those elusive tracks which we no not their name but only how they go. My thoughts sometimes are that all DJs should give Tracklistings with any mixes they make available but that would soon fall on its face and then where would the fun/frustration be in trying to find that track.

Yesterday, I found a track which I have been searching around 6 years to find. I downloaded a Stacey Kidd mix from DeepHousePages and about 15 minutes in a lovely jazzy house track started. I loved the vibes and I’ve always remembered the vocal hook ‘I wanna know, whats keeping us apart’ floating over a really funky bassline. Must have tried to Shazam the thing 100 times but to no avail. I found the mix again last week on my computer and started to listen, memories of trying not to dance while waiting for the bus came flooding back and the realisation that I needed to get this track.

Web searches led me to some comments in a Youtube video and thankfully the breadcrumbs from these comments led to the track! Phew. Another record found and struck off the list.

Bless you!! I first heard Mr. V play this on a Franck Roger podcast and could never find the track title either. Bless him he played the entire cut! He freaked the knobs so I couldn’t use it in my own sets. Glad to get a pristine digital copy, now will go after the vinyl too.

    THANK YOU!
